She explains they will all love her----if she is perfect, because it simply wasn’t enough to make them proud. She knows that as a catholic girl there’s no fun with any guilt feelings— we all had to believe in something so we did. She says she’s lost but she is hopeful, sad but laughing, brave but chickenshit, also young and underpaid.
She acknowledges that when you live, cry, love, bleed, lose and scream—you learn. Had a friend with benefits…She wonders if Mr. Duplicity thinks about her and while she scratches with her nails someone else’s back…can he feel it? At times she was taken out to wine dine 69 her ---and she sees riiiight through it. She wants to be forgiven-you see she was there without permission and noticed a letter and it wasn’t her writing. She also has been treated like a princess-and was not used to liking that…She says all she needs now is intellectual intercourse...all she wants is some justice. What she wouldn’t give to find her soul mate…
She knows life has a funny way of sneaking up on you when everything is going right…She recommends taking a moment Mary Jane and to be selfish—if u ask me she should only recommend MJ. All she really wants is some peace man, a common ground, wavelength, comfort, a way to get her hands untied. She asks to be shown the back door, she screams open the window! Get out! Get outta here! Enough already…WAAAKE UP!
Swallowing down all my jagged little pills since 1995 has been easier listening to Alanis Morissette..my life swims vicariously through this lines in her album.Definitely my favorite.
Enjoy.
