She explains they will all love her----if she is perfect, because it simply wasn’t enough to make them proud. She knows that as a catholic girl there’s no fun with any guilt feelings— we all had to believe in something so we did. All she really wants is some peace man, a common ground, wavelength, comfort, a way to get her hands untied. She asks to be shown the back door, she screams open the window! Get out! Get outta here! Enough already…WAAAKE UP!
Swallowing down all my jagged little pills since 1995 has been easier listening to Alanis Morissette..my life swims vicariously through this lines in her album.Definitely my favorite.
